The 417 Foundation gave back in a big way today.
The organization donated more than 80 coats to local children in need. This is the fifth coat drop off the organization has had so far this year. And 417 Foundation founder Matthew Miller says the community has really stepped up to get this program off the ground.
“Just seeing the impact we’re all able to have because people are so generous with their time and their money. A Lot of people will go buy coat and ship them to us from all over the country. So, it’s a very humbling to be able to give back,” says Matthew Miller.
And not only does the program donate coats, year round the organization helps feed kids by functioning as a food pantry as well. In addition to running the organization, Miller also works for the sports website Bleacher Report, which he attributes helping to get donors.
