Residents came out for the second annual back the Badge Barbecue for the Baxter Springs Police Reserves.
They participated in silent auctions, raffles, and purchased barbecue sandwiches for lunch. All the money collected from today’s event will help the team pay for training and gear. Reserve member Rhanda Andrews says seeing so many come out to the event means a lot.
“I love seeing this. It’s amazing to see the community come out and just see the support. We’re very thankful to live in this community where so many are willing to help a hand. ” says Andrews
Last year, inaugural Back the badge Barbecue brought in more than seven hundred people.
