As Halloween season gets underway, researchers expect Americans to shell out more cash for a costume, candy, and other spooky items.
A survey by the National Retail Federation predicts this Halloween season to be the the second highest in spending since the recession.
Spending is expected to reach nine billion dollars nationwide.
The survey says the average shopper will spend $87 on costumes, decorations, and candy.
Researcher shows the top three costumes for children are a princess, a superhero, and batman.
And for pets, more owners will go for costumes like a pumpkin, hot dog, or a bumble bee.
