JOPLN, Mo. — Joplin detectives have named a person of interest in Tuesday’s shooting and are asking the public to help locate him.

Police are looking for Adam E. Kastler, 34, of Joplin. Kastler has active felony warrants out of Newton County and the City of Joplin for failure to appear.
He is believed to be armed and dangerous and citizens are asked to practice extreme caution if they locate him.
Anyone with information on Kaslter’s whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency.

Joplin shooting suspect sought
JOPLIN, Mo. — Just before five o’clock this morning, Joplin police responded to a report of a shooting at 909 Monroe Avenue.
When officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid to the victim until ambulance and fire fighters arrived. The victim was then taken to a local hospital. He’s currently listed in stable condition.
Officers on the scene were given a vague description of the suspect, and say they believe the two men know each other.
The shooter was not at the scene when police arrived and no one is in custody yet.
Police are still processing the scene and were looking at a camper parked near the alley around the backside of the home.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
