JOPLIN, Mo. — A Joplin elementary school had an unexpected wild visitor, the district said on Thursday.
Joplin Schools shared this photo of a deer found in McKinley Elementary’s library (below) on Facebook.
Administrators did not say how the animal got inside the school, but said students and faculty were safe the entire time. Staff and authorities worked together to escort the young buck outside the facility safely.
