A recent graduate of Syracuse University, Michael Emami joins the Four States Sports Report as the new sports director.
He’s from St. Louis and did his undergraduate studies at Mizzou, working for KOMU in Columbia, Missouri.
Michael also served as a reporter for ACC Network.
He’s an avid baseball fan and says his inspiration to become a sports broadcaster came from the legendary radio broadcaster Mike Shannon.
Michael recalls visiting Shannon’s booth as a kid, knowing then that it was the best seat in the stadium. He knew he had to be involved in sports.
As he grew up, Michael became very serious about sports. He was no longer just a casual viewer. He got involved and wanted to learn all he could.
That was his pathway into broadcast sports.
When he’s not covering sports he enjoys running and he loves nature.
