Chaz Wright made his way down to Joplin in July 2022 to join the Four States Sports Report team. The small-town kid from New Mexico gets to see firsthand just how great the sports are in the area.
Prior to joining the Four States Sports team, Chaz had just graduated college and was a part-time sports reporter in Lubbock, Texas with KAMC/KLBK. Now he has taken Route 66 down to Joplin.
Chaz grew up in the small town of Belen, New Mexico. Chaz attended Texas Tech University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Sports Media.
At Texas Tech, Chaz was able to be a part of many sports organizations like the campus radio station, KTXT, or writing about Texas Tech sports for Guns Up Nation.
When he’s not working, Chaz loves to watch sports and support his Red Raiders and painfully suffers a Dallas Cowboys heartbreak every year. Chaz also loves to watch movies and TV shows, so you can always catch him watching Seinfeld or Friends. Or Peaky Blinders.
