Watered Gardens Executive Director Receives National Recognition

James Whitford has been elected to serve on the National Association of Gospel Rescue Mission's Board.
JOPLIN, MO.--- Watered Gardens Gospel Rescue Mission received some exciting news over the holiday. The center's executive director, James Whitford, has been elected to serve on the National Association of Gospel Rescue Mission's Board. Watered Gardens has been a member of the association for three years. Whitford is one of 13 elected mission board members from around the nation.

"Excited about the opportunity. I'll probably learn more than what I can contribute initially, but hopefully somethings we have learned over the past 13 years of running a rescue mission here in Joplin and the things Joplin is doing and has been through. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute some good things to the association," said James Whitford, Watered Gardens Executive Director.

Whitford will be representing the North Central District of the association which includes Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. His start date is January 1st.
