Two women displaced from yesterday's house fire in Oswego are being helped by the Red Cross.
OSWEGO, KS.--- Two women displaced from yesterday's house fire in Oswego are being helped by the Red Cross. The two women were at home at the time of the fire, but were able to escape. No one else was injured. Oswego fire officials arrived at the two story home at 522 6th Street around 9:30 yesterday morning.

Soon after they were joined by Altamont and Chetopa fire departments. Firefighters were on site about seven hours yesterday. Officials say it was a difficult fire to treat because the wood structure was burning under a metal roof and fiberglass siding. There is still no word on what has caused the fire.
