Update: Man in Connection to Several Burglaries Now in Custody

Jasper County deputies arrested Brian Ashton of Joplin yesterday following a foot pursuit in west Joplin.
CARTHAGE, MO.--- A man is in custody in connection to several burglaries in Jasper County. Jasper County deputies arrested Brian Ashton, 28, of Joplin yesterday following a foot pursuit in west Joplin. He is wanted in conjunction with several burglaries from storage buildings throughout Jasper County. There was a warrant out for his arrest for receiving stolen property. Sheriff Randee Kaiser hopes the arrest gives some justice to people who had property stolen.

"They would like to see somebody held accountable for stealing their stuff and getting one of those people into custody gives them a little bit of satisfaction to see that," said Randee Kaiser, Jasper County Sheriff.

Sheriff Kaiser says they are still looking for other suspects in these cases dating back to June. If you have any information, call the sheriff's department at 417-358-8177.
