CARTHAGE, MO.--- Jasper County moves forward with relocating a radio tower in the county. Commissioners approved an agreement with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission today. The agreement lists the details for moving the sheriff's office current radio tower on Atlas Road to the MODOT site at the intersection of 96 and 37 highways near Avilla. The sheriff's office and MODOT will share the tower.
"It fit very well for what they needed. They have an old tower and we have a new tower, but no place really to put it after the first of the year," said Randee Kaiser, Jasper County Sheriff.
The sheriff says the entire project should be complete by the end of March 2014.
