Update: Authorities Say PSU Abduction Unfounded

Authorities say that several reports related to this incident appear to also have been untrue.
PITTSBURG, KS--- Pittsburg State University Police have determined that last week's report of an alleged abduction on campus was unfounded and without merit. Authorities say that several reports related to this incident appear to also have been untrue.

"These cases have been a priority for our office, and for our partners at the Pittsburg Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff's Department since it was first reported," says Director of University Police, Mike McCracken. "After fully reviewing the facts, we feel confident that no abduction took place and that the related events were also fabricated."

The alleged abduction was reported by the victim during the afternoon hours on Tuesday, Sept, 24. The additional incidents include the report of an off campus burglary that occurred in late August.
