Two-Vehicle Accident Leaves One Dead

A two-vehicle accident in Cherokee County leaves one person dead.

COLUMBUS --- The crash happened at 5:15 yesterday evening on Highway 160 just five miles west of Kansas Highway 7 near Columbus. A Dodge Durango driven by 31-year-old Elizabeth Ryan was traveling westbound and changed lanes to avoid slow traffic. That's when it struck a Toyota Camry traveling eastbound head on.

The car was driven by 56-year-old Frank Williams who died at the scene. His two passengers were taken to Freeman Hospital. Ryan and her one-year-old passenger were also taken to Freeman.
