44 state parks in Missouri will offer guided hikes ranging from beginner trails to rough terrain.
In Southwest Missouri, the list includes Prairie State Park, near Mindenmines, and Roaring River State Park, near Cassville.

The center will not have a guided hike but offer some tips to make you have a fun and safe hike.
Hiking experts say it's best to go in groups, start of with a short distance and wear proper shoes.
"Hiking is just walking so you need to have a good pair of walking shoes not just any pair of shoes. If you go get some hiking boots or buy any pair of shoes you're probably not going to be very comfortable," says Ken Middick with Wildcat Glades.
Hiking experts also advise you to check the weather before setting out on a hike and dress appropriate.
They recommend loose fitting and layered clothing, plus always carry water.
