CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- Three Carl Junction boys are helping the fight against breast cancer. Brothers Ethan and Brenden Berry and their cousin Lane Stone, have been selling pink bracelets and rings all month long. The boys had been making the items just for fun in other colors until their grandmother encouraged them to make the fashion accessories for a good cause.
They've sold rings and bracelets for 50 cents to a $1.50. The boys raised more than $100, which they'll donate to Carl Junction's "Stamp Out Breast Cancer" campaign. They say they're proud to do something good for their community.
"I feel really happy about it, because I feel bad for the people that have it. And I just feel good to help out," said Ethan Berry, Bracelet and Ring Maker.
"They can't do anything sometimes, so I think it's very good to help out people," said Brenden Berry, Bracelet and Ring Maker.
"It makes me feel happy and makes me feel like I'm helping everyone," said Lane Stone, Bracelet and Ring Maker.
If you would like a bracelet to help donate to the cause, call 417-642-5316. The boys plan to drop off their earnings to the Carl Junction Post Office tomorrow.
