South Middle School Students Make Decorations for Hospital Patients

The decorations will be donated to Freeman Health System, and the group hopes they can be used to decorate some of the rooms around their hospital.
JOPLIN, MO.--- South Middle School students get in the holiday spirit by making decorations for hospital patients. 8th graders partnered with 6th grade students to create Christmas swag. The activity was a way for the different grades to get to know one another. The decorations will be donated to Freeman Health System, and the group hopes they can be used to decorate some of the rooms around their hospital.

"I feel that this is a good way to help people, you can't really get out and go have Christmas with their family," said David White, 8th Grade Student.

Before the students donate their decorations, the school will get to vote on their favorite one.
