JOPLIN, MO.--- Your next snack could help raise money for less fortunate children. The Soroptimist International of Joplin is hosting its annual nuts and candy sale. The money will be used to sponsor more than 40 Jasper County foster children at a week long camp. The goal this year is to raise $25,000. Organizers say it is great to give back to the community and help so many children.
"Just being able to make an impact in the lives of women and kids in the community through the program. The main reason we like to do the fundraisers and help give back to the community," said Amanda Mitchell, Soroptimist.
