JASPER COUNTY, MO.--- The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is warning farmers about potential thefts of cattle and farm equipment during the winter months. Most farm equipment isn't in use and it gives crooks an opportunity to steal. Deputies say you should count your cattle often and be aware of cuts in your fencing. Also it's advised to brand your livestock. Promptly report any suspicious activity to the sheriff's office at 417-359-9100.
