JOPLIN, MO.--- A Joplin businessman announces campaign plans for the upcoming April election. Edward Jones Financial Advisor Ryan Stanley is running for a general seat on Joplin's City Council. He made the announcement during a press conference this afternoon at his office in south Joplin. Stanley says his platform consists of three key points, teamwork, best practices, and long term growth. He hopes to foster a climate of teamwork within the council, learn from community members, and focus on economic development.
"If we are growing, and well funded and supported, then there are many things that we will be able to dream about doing, and fund and put together. But without the growth, it's just not doable," said Ryan Stanley, City Council Candidate.
Stanley was born and raised in Joplin, he graduated with a business degree from the University of Arkansas. He says his 15 years of experience as a financial advisor would help him make important decisions about the city's economic growth. Stanley will campaign until the election on April 8th.
