JOPLIN, MO.--- Rebuild Joplin welcomes home a new family that lost their house in the tornado. Volunteers held a housewarming ceremony at 1312 east 24th Street today for the new homeowner, Emily. Members of the First United Methodist Church helped build her home in a unique way. Parts of the home were constructed in the church's basement, before being shipped out to the construction site.
"After church we would basically just go down and work on the house for a few hours, so it was convenient but why not for Joplin," said Mark Johnson, Volunteer.
More than 90 families have been given new homes thanks to Rebuild Joplin.
