JOPLIN, MO.--- Volunteers with Rebuild Joplin and Farmers Insurance host a housewarming for a local family. This is the first home the two have worked on rebuilding together. Since this May, Farmers Insurance volunteers from across the country have traveled to Joplin to work on a house located on Murphy Avenue. The senior vice president for the company says it's rewarding to see the family settle into their new home.
"It's very gratifying and rewarding for Farmers Insurance to have been a small part of this. We don't want to take most of the credit. The credit really belongs to the citizens of Joplin and the wonderful nonprofit Rebuild Joplin," said Nan Treul, Senior Vice President, Farmers Insurance.
Volunteers rebuilt the Braumley family's home in the same spot as the one destroyed in the May 2011 tornado.
