Pittsburg Sales Tax Increase

The tax will be in place for 10 years and will help raise funds for the police and fire departments.
PITTSBURG, KS.--- The sales tax rate is increasing for Pittsburg consumers. Back in September, Pittsburg voters approved a half percent sales tax increase. The new rate of 8.9% will start tomorrow and is expected to generate $1.8 million. The tax will be in place for 10 years and will help raise funds for the police and fire departments.
