PITTSBURG, KS.--- Pittsburg High School adds a program to curb the student dropout rate. It's called the "Jobs for America's Graduates" program, or JAG. The program helps students who are at risk of dropping out or failing, transition into the workplace or post secondary education. In 2010, the PHS dropout rate was 3%, and in 2011 it dropped to 1.7%. JAG coordinators hope the program will encourage students to continue their education beyond graduation.
