I began my television career at the age of 10 reporting for the local children's show Station K.I.D.S. and making public service announcements.  Since officially joining the KSN team in July 2007 I have worked in a variety of different roles:  weekend reporter/photog, weekday reporter, and morning show weather anchor.  In September 2010 I became the morning show anchor and executive producer for Local News Today.

In addition to bringing the local news weekday mornings from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., you can also catch some of my local interviews and special segments on the show.  I share my passion of automobiles several times a month with my "You Auto Know" series.  With this segment you will discover the latest news from the automotive world and experience a test drive as I get behind the wheel of various new and used vehicles that are currently on the road.

Twice a month I welcome to the show a member of the Missouri Department of Conservation to discuss various family events, activities and other ways to enjoy the great outdoors without having to travel too far.

Lastly for special segments, I enjoy interviewing celebrities via satellite or in-studio about their current or upcoming projects and sharing that information with the four states.

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, racquetball and anything to do with classic or exotic cars. I am proud to call Joplin, Missouri my home town and would love to hear from you at pmitchell@ksn16.tv.
