PARSONS, KS.--- Safe Haven Outreach Mission is on a campaign to collect toiletry items. The mission is accepting items such as razors, shampoo, bath soap, shaving cream, and other toiletries. Organizers say their goal is to make sure homeless residents in Parsons have their basic needs met. Safe Haven's founder says people should know homelessness is not just an urban problem. Any small donation can help change a life and improve the work they do there.
"It's a struggle here everyday, you know to keep the doors open. Because we do not get state and federal grants. We are faith based, so we rely 99.9% of our funding comes from donations," said Melissa Brown, Director of Safe Haven.
