The family has requested that all donations be sent to the Parsons Recreation Center.
PARSONS, KS.--- A somber atmosphere in Parsons today. The town--- heartbroken over the murders of a mother and her young children. Family and friends held a candlelight vigil this evening in remembrance of the family. A lot of heartache as hundreds gathered outside of Cami Umbarger's home to honor her and her three children this evening.

Candles burned brightly and lanterns were released into the sky signifying each life cut too short. Cami, 29, Hollie, 8, Jaxon, 5, Averie, 4, were found murdered in their Parsons home. Family and friends shared memories of the family, promising to never forget them.

"Always speak in light of them and keep them in our hearts. And keeping our families together, the one we do still have, always talking about them," said Joshua Brown, Family Member.

"The one thing that everyone would agree on is her laugh, she had the most memorable laugh," said Kristin Carricco, Family Friend.

Visitation has been scheduled for this Sunday afternoon starting at three at the Forbes Hoffman Funeral Home at 405 Main Street in Parsons. The family's funeral will be the following day Monday, December 2nd at 2 p.m. at Thayer Christian Church 8495 Dorn Road just west of Parsons. Family members have asked for any monetary donations to be given to the Parsons Recreation Center.
