Miami, OK- A fourstate college is doing away with the old to make way for the new.
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College is tearing down three of its old dorm buildings as well as the art building.
The apartment style dorms were built in the early to mid 60s and needed major renovations.
The Tar Creek superfund site flooded in 2007, damaging 50% of the first floor of NEO's dorms.
For now, the college plans to clear off the debris and plant grass where those dorms once stood.
