NEVADA, MO.--- Vernon County authorities arrest one person in their largest drug bust of the year. Deputies arrested Thomas Toothaker, 32, of Milo late Thursday. Officials have been investigating him for drug distribution in Vernon County. When they approached him in a vehicle at a residence just inside Milo, they noticed a gun on the floorboard.
Toothaker is a convicted felon, so deputies arrested him for possession of a firearm. After getting a search warrant on the vehicle, authorities seized more than 50 grams of meth and 100 grams of marijuana. They also discovered scales and bags for distribution. Toothaker is being held in the Vernon County Jail on $100,000 cash bond. Charges in the case are pending.
