JOPLIN, MO.--- Northport Health Services of Missouri breaks ground on a $2 million construction project today. The Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center, located off 32nd Street, is getting a face lift. The current 3,500 square foot building will be made into private suites for senior citizens. Crews will also build a 10,000 square foot facility. It will provide a large physical therapy gym, occupational speech areas, and office space.
"It'll just make the ability to provide more rehabilitation to more people transitioning from the hospital to home, and we're very excited about it," sad Norman Estes, President NHS Management.
The 14,000 square foot construction project is expected to be completed by June of next year.
