NEWTON COUNTY, MO.--- Newton County authorities have filed charges against several people connected to a large drug bust last night. Shawn Mooore, 51, of Columbus has been charged with felony assault on an officer and possession of meth. Elizabeth Patton, 47, and Robbin Baldwin, 52, both of Joplin were charged with possession of meth. Authorities also arrested Zekie Stewart, 50, Amanda Consolver, 31, and Rickey Russell, 51, all of Joplin.
Charges against them are pending. All the suspects were arrested after Newton County authorities served a search warrant at 3369 Greenwood in Joplin around 5:30 last night. Inside the home, deputies found several grams of meth. One deputy was hurt after trying to stop one of the suspects from fleeing and was treated at the scene for injuries. All of the suspects are being held in the Newton County Jail.
