New Study Says Most Missourians Are Not Saving Enough for Retirement

The University of Missouri report found that in 2010, only three percent of working adults had contributed the maximum amount allowed by federal law.
JOPLIN, MO.--- A new study says most Missourians aren't saving enough for retirement. The University of Missouri report found that in 2010, only 3% of working adults had contributed the maximum amount allowed by federal law. Meanwhile, 90% put aside less than 20% of their income. Researchers tied a decline in contribution levels to the state of the economy, but say that it's important to save even during poor economic times.
