MIAMI, OK.--- Its been decades in the making and now the history of an area college is all in one place. NEO A&M College in Miami has opened a new archive in the library. For 23 years the history had been stored in boxes and housed all throughout the library. It now has it's own room. On display are old yearbooks, film archives and newspaper clippings. Organizers say it's nice to pass this rich history of the college onto the next generation.
"We have to remember the people who come before us. We owe them that. We should honor them and also the Golden Norsemen to come should inherit a legacy. This is a really amazing place and it's nice to share that," said Sloane Brown, NEO Library Director.
An open house will be held on Thursday for the public to come see the archive. That will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
