MSSU Manufacturing Expo

Several hundred local students learned about different manufacturing jobs in the Four States.
JOPLIN, MO.--- Several hundred local students learned about different manufacturing jobs in the Four States. Missouri Southern State University hosted a manufacturing expo for junior high and high school students. Businesses like Cardinal Scale and Modine setup booths. Organizers say there are a lot of manufacturing jobs in the area and some will be waiting for them when they graduate college. 25 different businesses were on hand at the inaugural expo.

"It's a great job to have as a career. And one that you can stay in the region and raise your family and be challenged," said Susan Adams, Able Manufacturing.

There are plans to make the expo an annual event due to the large turnout today.
