JOPLIN, MO.--- The Missouri Supreme Court has suspended the law license of Joplin Attorney Daniel Whitworth. The Chief Disciplinary Council requested the suspension last week following an investigation of misconduct. The investigation included an audit and interviews with numerous parties involved in business dealings with Whitworth.
The audit and probe revealed there's probable cause to believe Whitworth forged check endorsements and court documents and misappropriated funds. The Missouri Supreme Court agreed to suspend his license due to professional misconduct and a threat to clients.
