JOPLIN, MO.--- Students had a chance to display their artistic homework. Missouri Southern State University ceramics students are hosting a pottery sale. Hundreds of pottery is for sale inside the Billingsly Student Center. The sale helps educate the students how to market and sell their work when they become professional artists. The money also helps the students pay for the supplies they bought to make the art for class. Artists say it's nice to get their artwork out in front of the public.
"It does give us an opportunity to experience the selling side of things. We do have a business major who also happens to be an art student. We do intermingle with the business side as well as the art side," said Melinda Hodgin, MSSU Artist.
The sale will also be held on Friday inside the student center from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
