Missouri Income Tax Cut Proposal for 2014

House and senate leaders say an income tax cut will be an early priority when they convene on January 8th.
JOPLIN, MO-- Missouri lawmakers will make another attempt at cutting income taxes in 2014.

House and senate leaders say an income tax cut will be an early priority when they convene on January 8th.

Earlier this year an income tax cut bill was passed but later vetoed by Governor Jay Nixon who said the cost would jeopardize funding for education and other state services.

Republican legislators say next year's version will leave out some of the provisions Nixon objected and will include a tax reduction for Missouri's small business owners.
