JOPLIN, MO.--- A Missouri leader shares his legislative agenda before heading back to Jefferson City next week. House Speaker Tim Jones is touring the state, and he stopped in Joplin today to discuss details of what he's calling the "4-G Agenda." The "G's" stand for growth and opportunity, generate affordable and abundant energy, guarantee the right to a great education, and guarding and protecting Missouri values. Jones says one of his main goals is to "protect our rights and freedoms from an ever encroaching federal government."
"Over the last few years, we have seen an out of control federal government that has been violating states rights on everything from health care overhauls to failed stimulus plans," said Tim Jones, Missouri House Speaker.
Lawmakers will discuss the issues when they head back to session Wednesday.
