Missouri Highway Patrol Reports One Fatality During the Holiday Counting Period

The 30 hour counting period lasted from 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve to midnight Christmas Night.
MISSOURI-- The Missouri Highway Patrol reports one person died in a wreck during the official holiday counting period. The crash happened Christmas Eve not far from Osage Beach. The 30 hour counting period lasted from 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve to midnight Christmas Night. During that time, the highway patrol responded to 53 traffic crashes, 10 of which happened in Southwest Missouri. Troopers also arrested eight people for driving while intoxicated. There were no boating crashes or drownings during the Christmas counting period this year.
