JOPLIN, MO.--- The Mega Millions drawing is tonight and one lucky winner may be walking away as a millionaire.
"Today, we have seen a lot more people buying at least five dollars worth at a time. We actually had one person in here earlier that bought 52 at a time. So, it depends on the person and how many chances they want to win," said John Wynn, Horton's Pizza Plus Manager.
The jackpot is currently set at $586 million. If the lucky numbers are drawn, this jackpot will be the second largest in Mega Millions history and the 4th largest jackpot ever. All this excitement has created Mega dreams here in Joplin.
"I'd quit work for sure! Help out as much family as I could and friends. Hunt and fish everyday, probably for the rest of my life." said Ryan Newell, Ticket Buyer.
"It would just change your life totally. You can do just about anything. Anything you can imagine you can do. It would be a lot of fun, I'll tell you that. I would have a lot of fun! I am only 46, I have a lot of life left in me," said Michael Lightner, Ticket Buyer.
"A house maybe, pay my car off. Pay a lot of stuff off that I'm in debt with and stuff like that," said Wynn.
The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled 21 times without a winner since October. There is still time to purchase your Mega Millions ticket until 8:59 p.m. and the drawing will be held at 10 p.m. The Mega Millions jackpot has already climbed and now sits at $636 million.
