A film honoring Martin Luther King Jr. was shown at the GWC National Monument this afternoon.
DIAMOND, MO -- A film was shown at the George Washington Carver National Monument today to honor Martin Luther King Jr.

The film is titled "Martin Luther King Jr.- We Shall Overcome." It highlights King's most well-known speeches during the Civil Rights Movement. His speeches were driven by his vision for racial equality.

The film plays again at 1PM tomorrow and Monday at the GWC National Monument. It's free and open to the public.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is this Monday, January 20th.
