The reduction will be effective on January 1st.
MOUNT VERNON, MO.--- The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office is reducing concealed carry weapon fees for veterans and active military. The reduction will be effective on January 1st. Permits will be reduced from $100 to $50 for active duty military and veterans, and renewals will be reduced from $50 to $25.

Active military members and veterans must show proof of service in order receive the reduced cost. The sheriff's office is changing the fee schedule to show thanks to those who are and have served our country. Current CCW permit and renewal laws are still in effect.
