MISSOURI--- Missouri lawmakers are already looking ahead to bills dealing with education in 2014. State Senator Ron Richard says federal common core standards have sparked a lot of feedback from voters. Hearings around the state have compiled a long list of concerns. Richard predicts that will lead to some changes in state law next year.
"There's some issues on the database, where these students names are going and if the curriculum stays local, of course, we want to make sure that happens," said Senator Ron Richard, Missouri District 32.
The 2014 legislative session kicks off on January 8th, but lawmakers can start prefiling bills on December 1st.
