PITTSBURG, KS.--- KVC Behavioral Healthcare in Pittsburg has launched their annual "Adopt A Foster Child" initiative. The facility is asking local businesses and residents to provide one of their foster care children with three toys from the child's wish list. If you are interested in helping provide Christmas to a child, you can call the KVC at 417-232-1501. Directors say there are 298 children in foster care who may not receive any Christmas gifts this year.

"Just provide a little bit of hope for them. People do care about them even though they're not with their family. That you know people do care and it's a trying time for them and we understand and we want to see them smile and happy," said Allison Leach, KVC Behavioral Healthcare.
