JPD Sees Rise in Thefts from Vehicles

The Joplin Police Department urges people to lock their car doors and remove or hide anything valuable from your car when it is left unattended.
JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin police are seeing a rash of thefts from vehicles. Since November 1st, the police department has received approximately 150 reports of thefts from vehicles. Seven of those incidents involved guns being taken from the vehicle. The Joplin Police Department says there are no specific areas where thefts involving guns occurred. The police department urges people to lock their car doors and remove or hide anything valuable from your car when it is left unattended.
