Joplin Hires New Public Works Director

Nick Heatherly will start the new job on October 1st.
JOPLIN, MO.--- The City of Joplin has hired a new public works director. Nick Heatherly most recently served as the city administrator in Willard, Missouri. Before that, he spent 24 years working in the Springfield Public Works Department. He is a civil engineer with a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri. The public works director position was left vacant in July when David Hertzberg was demoted. Heatherly starts the new job on October 1st with a salary of $90,000 per year.
