Joplin Crews Soon to Start Damaged Tree Limb Pick Up

Branches should be at a maximum of eight feet long and be placed on the curb, separate from any leaf piles.
JOPLIN, MO.--- The Joplin Street Department will start picking up damaged tree limbs in residential areas next year. Crews will start picking up piles on January 6th. Branches should be at a maximum of eight feet long and be placed on the curb, separate from any leaf piles. Normally, people can take their tree limbs to the Republic Services Transfer Station in Galena. Due to the amount of damage from this week's storm, residents are asked to bring tree limbs to the city's drop-off location on Schifferdecker Avenue and Bell Center Road. Until further notice, the city's leaf pick up program has been suspended.
