JOPLIN, MO.--- There's a new member to Joplin's Charter Review Commission. In a special meeting this evening, city council members nominated former council member and mayor, Kay Wells, to the committee. Wells served as mayor in 1984. She will replace Kristen Blanchard, who declined the position. The group is looking into nine items on the city's charter that could be changed. Those measures will have to be voted on by residents.
