JOPLIN, MO.--- The executive terminal at the the Alpha Air Center in Joplin is now open for business. Staff with Alpha Air and the Joplin Chamber of Commerce gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the historic Joplin terminal this morning. Crews have spent the last year renovating the old Joplin airport terminal to provide more space for corporate aviation facilities. There's a meeting room, open lounge area, pilot's lounge and kitchenette.
"We can accommodate the pilots as they rest here through the day or as the CEO's and executives come through, so this makes the first impression for Joplin and so we want to make it a very good first impression," said Joshua Crooker, General Manager, Alpha Air.
Throughout the ceremony, speakers recognized that creating this terminal was the dream of former Alpha Air Owner Jeff Asbell, who died in a boat crash last month.
