Jasper County Radio Tower Relocation Project

Bids are currently out for taking the tower down and moving it to a new location.
JASPER COUNTY, MO.--- Plans to relocate a radio tower in Jasper County are in process. Sheriff Randee Kaiser says the plan is to move the current radio tower on Atlas Road to the MODOT site at the intersection of 96 and 37 highways. MODOT has a tower at their site, but it's about 40 years old. Kaiser hopes to share the tower once it's moved to the MODOT site, making it a win for both MODOT and the county.

"Our studies show that that particular location will cover the east side of the county clear down to Sarcoxie and into northeast parts of county. So, it's a perfect location, it's center up perfect for us," said Sheriff Randee Kaiser, Jasper County.

Bids are currently out for taking the tower down and moving it to the new location. Kaiser hopes to move it around the first of the year
