JOPLIN, MO-- Governor Jay Nixon calls a special session of the General Assembly to help bring commercial aerospace production to Missouri.

The assembly will meet Monday afternoon to draft legislation to help the state win production of the 777X- Boeing's next-generation commercial aircraft.

State responses to Boeing's Request for Proposal are due December 10th and legislative action is necessary.

The proposal will seek to address the company's needs in work training, infrastructure development and job creation incentives.

Governor Nixon says he is committed to winning the project stating it would create thousands of jobs across the state.
